Yellow is often associated with happiness, and I once read somewhere that it even triggers happy emotions. Maybe that's why they make you happy. Or maybe because they're just really pretty, like your photograph 
Did you know, apparantly the colour red is supposed to stimulate hunger, and this is why most neon signs of fast food joints and restaurants flash red in colour. #marketingstrategy
