I added this as a favorite before cultivating (very quietly) the correct words to praise it. It makes me feel the way hearing owls makes me feel, or the way seeing children hide among and between trees makes me feel, like scratchy ryerumbark chakra's on the serpentine spine of an amber butterfly.

I really like the texture of the background. Did you use a roughly textured surface to get that effect? I really like how the picture seems to tell a story, with inclusion of the crows eating out of my hand. The perspective on the figure is really good and I like how she is bright compared to the rest. I really like this piece. What did you use to draw it?
