But if you love something/one, then you put a lot of emotion behind it and become considerably less rational. To be tolerant is to be strong and rational, despite not liking something. It's saying, 'maybe I don't know or understand your life, your culture, but that doesn't matter I will let you be and tolerate you'.

Also, the idea of tolerance is that we should tolerate people's choices. No, we shouldn't. If I see a friend or one of my siblings about to make a stupid decision, I won't tolerate it. I will say something. But I love them, which is far more important than tolerating their choice.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make by saying this, so my response may be a little left field.
"Stupid" seems a little arbitrary. I mean, if you loved your siblings (which i'm assuming) and you were homophobic (I know, but go with it) you'd want to help them from making the stupid "choice" of being gay. Right? If you were tolerant, it wouldn't matter if you were homophobic, because things at home might be tense, but you wouldn't lose it and send them to conversion therapy.
I hope that made sense as much out of my head as it did in my head.

Tolerant doesn't mean being strong and rational. It means putting up with something, that's all. And loving someone does not mean becoming irrational.

There was a college student who wrote an article about how homosexuality was wrong BUT none of his business and he had no right to dictate another's life choices. This was tolerant. The school's GLBTQ community were angry, and that was not tolerant. Don't get me wrong, I'm bisexual and was offended by what he said but I tolerate his opinion because that's all it is.
According to dictionary.com tolerance is "a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward opinions and proactices that differ from one's own" so even though he doesn't love homosexuality or gays and the gay community doesn't mean that he is intolerant.
Also: I want to thank you for the chance to have a rational and intelligent discussion--I've found that such opportunities are rather scarce these days.

Huh, makes me really think. I love and support this stamp!
And, about the second commandment you put at the bottom, I love them ABOVE myself, for myself I see a low creature, not deserving of life after the mistakes I have made.
