I'm new here...and I love your work. Tell me...how is there such a huge difference in your technique from your older pieces to now? The improvement is tremendous! Welcome! I'm new too, I joined this week 
The reason is that before I was content with the results after 3-5 hours of work and moved on, I didn't have the pacience to spend more time on details. Then I took a big break (about 5 years I drew about 1-2 small pieces a year). 1 year ago I stumbled across DeviantART and I was so STUNNED by what these people can do! So I read a few tutorials from here and I started to demand more of myself. Of course, I didn't join until I had something to show my progress. That's all.

Wow! Me too! I know I can do it..but I dont all the time. I got really inspired by your work actually (it came up in a google search) and decided to get goin with drawing again! I'm starting a piece now!
