Pleased to hear that! I'm quitting paid commissions in a few weeks time as I'm due to enter a new & exciting venture!!! This will give me the 'once in a lifetime' opportunity to own a dedicated studio [large enough to house an A0 & A1 drafting station, a 27" iMac, a 21" Wacom Cintiq Touch Tablet & a nice 3D surround sound system. . .totally blissful environment for drawing/painting] plus plenty of time on my hands to not only take care of my niece properly, but also to experience many other things I've always dreamed of doing with my life

You have your hands full too, as I'm aware you have all those children to take care of whilst buying a second home too. . .isn't exactly stress-free! How's the house buying going so far?

As for myself, it's been almost 24-months of self-funding [continually, I might add] & preparations. . .now, I'm only weeks away from launch day!!! Thank you for congratulating me, Cidne, I sincerely appreciate that My niece is now 15-months young [I've been taking care of her since day one].

Not at all...when the purchase is in its final stages, you set a "closing date". That is the day that both parties meet along with a lawyer to sign all the necessary documents. Once the papers are all signed, the house is "closed" and the previous owner hands the keys over to the new owner! I assume things work differently where you live?

Thank you! We're not moving this friday though. Actually we made an agreement with the owners that they could rent the home from us until June, so that both our kids and theirs could finish school. Were moving 2 hours away so we don't want to have to switch their school right before they finish.

Ya, they have been through too much this year already. We just got full custody of them in September and its been a hassle with their mom ever since. Poor kids..but hopefully it will get better once we are out of the area
