Bleach followers are puzzling over a remark which suggests the anime may be due to end soon.
The suspect utterance was made on the site of “ROOKiEZ is PUNK’D,” the band responsible for the anime’s latest ED song:
“I think our tune is perfect for the final season’s climax – please check it out!”
This would suggest an April end to the anime.
The original remark was quickly amended to something uninteresting (suggesting it was unauthorised and of sufficient importance to warrant swift removal, but of course not confirming it was actually true), although not before the fires of speculation were lit online.
With the anime apparently still maintaining its popularity and the author of the original having hinted the manga will continue at least until the end of the universe, it hard for fans to know what to make of the remarks.
The fact that the anime has apparently almost exhausted the original manga’s material may be the major issue – this would suggest either a permanent ending, a temporary hiatus to allow the original to regain its lead, or a return of the dreaded “filler arc.”

It's been 2 years since he said that, so we're looking at an 8 years final arc.
Gantz is in it's final arc and it's still going strong, so I don't expect bleach to end in 2-3 years.

I think wat they meant by that isn't that the anime is ending, but that the entire ending sequence, with their song, is something that will stand out even in the final season of Bleach because it showed such an important turning point in the entire series (both anime and manga) that is: Rukia is gone (for now anyway) Rukia has always been very important and was in fact going to be the main charector of the series but Kubo felt she couldn't carry that sort of weight on her shoulders alone, thus, he created Ichigo to take on the burden of the main protagonist, the fact that Rukia is has dissapeared from Ichigo's life, as someone who has been there for him since the begining of his Soul Reaper duties, and the fact that she's dissapeared completly for the first time from the fan's point of veiw as well, is a very big turning point, it's something to be remembered, along with this ending that shows the impact on her nakama's lives and their impacts on her's, even in the very last moments of Bleach, and because their song (PUNK'd) was picked to play in such an important part, they're saying that even in the finale' of Bleach their song will be remembered, atleast that's how and I few of others take it

And no, I didn't use anything bleach related in the image above. It's all from Toaru Majutsu no Index II, and that guy who looks similar to Ichigo is the main protagonist, Kamijou Touma

And yes, I would also prefer it to go on hiatus, just like Gintama has done, and then re-start again after Kubo brings out more material.
