A bit longer answer: Because I haven't seen the anime nor read the manga, I'm not really familiar with the character. Yeah she got tons of swords an is pretty badass wich makes her ideal for this compilation I got that. But that's not enough. I'd rather not include her, than having her here with an out of character comment and more importantly without knowing wether she comes before or after Byakuya and screwing it up.

Sorry but it's ... well let's just say it's not what I expected. Knowing only the chant and not the scene made him seem a lot more powerful... know I think Byakuya would beat him even without bankai. Or maybe it's just the animation looking so sluggish and poorly done...the original visual novel might be better I dunno. Still Archer wins in terms of number of swords XD

The kid has one hack off a willpower and an extremely fast reaction time, but don't forget he is only badass in the digital world while the others can kick ass in the real world. Kirito is cool but he simply doesn't have the phisical power and stamina to stand a chance against any of them.
I consider Byakuya the stronget so far but I've only seen about 90 epiodes of One Piece so I don't want to count out Zoro yet.

Well yes, but in the virtual world is where all the badness is happening anyway. They could have set SAO in a completely different reality, with a different name (Minus the 'online') and made it more of a alternate reality fantasy thing, using magic to replace the digital portions (Storage, statistics, skills, etc) and it'd work nearly exactly the same, and then it'd be a real world physical thing.

In fact, in the later SAO novels during Project Alicization, the world he visits doesn't know it's virtual, and magic is their explanation for a lot of things that would appear virtual if you knew that it *was* virtual. e.g. they can view the remaining life of a target, using "magic"

Hm... thats interesting, in fact I'm planning to read the novels once I have the time but so far I'm only familiar with the anime. As for your "what if those were real AUs" then with the powers Kirito obtained till the end of ALO he would surely beat Mifune (judging by anime only, SE manga is still on the to do list ^^') and maybe Killer B, but I still consder Byakuya the strongest so far and Zoro as a big '?'

Though we have to remember, it's not the number of swords that make a swordsman, it's the strength of that swordsman. For instance, Mifune has a lot of swords, but still lost to Black Star with just the one sword. Same goes for Byakuya, he lost to Ichigo with the one sword over his 10,000,000.

The one thing I couldn't understand in Byakuya's way, is why does he using only one sword durnig senkei and keep all the others merely for scenery o_O ? He should just launch all those blades against Ichigo to win, I'm pretty sure they are way more difficult to dodge or block than the petals in the basic bankai due to their weight in that compressed form.
