I would suggest watching Donnie Darko and it's sequel. They are not horror, thus not scary. They are more of a suspense/scifi/mystery kind of movie.

Donald (Donnie) Darko lives in a family of 5 with both parents, an older sister and a younger sister. One night, an unknown plane propeller crashes through his roof after he followed a demented looking rabbit named Frank out of the house where Frank proceed to tell him the date and time of when his world will end.

I'm not telling more cause it would start to spoil the movie. The mask is a dark bluish color in the movie.
