Description Lately I've been quite obsessed with the figure of Thranduil in the Desolation of Smaug... Dark and smart and father of Legolas ( Yes, I have a thing for filiation, family ties, you know... Relationships and other love binds! ). And actually the elves of Mirkwood are quite fascinating, darker than the rest of their kin, they're good, but colder and more ambiguous, which make them more interesting in a sense.

So, let me tell you: Thranduil is way too cool not to have a great queen by his side! Here are some sketches that go along with this idea... I'm not satisfied with them, I wanna try again soon and attempt to give her some Legolas face features...

There are some other queens of Mirkwood drawn around here on DA... ^^ It's funny to see how different people imagine her, so many different views!!

yeah.. i've seen a few. some really pretty ones. For my version I was trying to imagine how she would look if they put her in the film, so i was basing her design off of Thraduil's and Legolas'. So that's where my inspiration came from I still like yours the best

I also try to imagine her as how she could be in the movies...Those movies are such a huge reference! ^^
But I want her to look like her son, so I'm gonna change her face and try to give her some "Orlando Bloom" look! Hard task! X)

Β Yes, i agree. i wonder if she had gone to the Undying Lands or if she had died. maybe that's what happened if she was never mentioned. just my theory.
