Really? He didn't seem too young. I always thought he was at least older than 10. Also, Rock is a robot/android so he doesn't really have a designated age.

They may seem like odd choices, but I think they could work. I have my own reasons after all.

Well, for Luigi x Samus while it may seem like an odd couple, I do think that it does have some potential. I like the whole dynamic of the mix of personalities with Luigi being shy and such, but still not afraid to fight when he has to and has been known to have great potential and Samus being stoic and calm and quiet, but still kind and caring. For me, it's not really all about being tough and badass, but rather about what's in the heart and I think Luigi would have the heart enough to be able to reach out to Samus. If Luigi can be with someone like Daisy, then I definitely think a ship with him and Samus could work.
As for Mario x Palutena, I ship it because it's another dynamic I like. Palutena is known for being sweet and kind-hearted, yet playful and not afraid of playing some jokes here and there. I can see her doing such with Mario, but also admiring Mario's bravery and selflessness. Another instance where I think heart matters more than anything else in my mind.
I know these may seem strange to some, I really do like these ships not only for the reasons I listed above, but also because they're cute and unique. I tend to really like unique ships a lot because they're pairings that most probably won't even think about and some have more potential than people may think.

Personally I see Samus like a solitary eagle type of gal.
Just going to a random space bar to pick up a random guy she fancies for some R&R occasionally, but other then that leaving at that.
She doesn't seem like a relationship kinda gal. XD
As for Paluntena, I really can't say anything as I never played those games or know anything about it. XD

I can see your point and to some extent I can agree. She's more fitted to stay single if anything. I just think Luigi and Samus would be cute together, but that's just me.
