With Halloween almost near, and due to the ocassion of these days, here's this special drawing.

October 29th/30th, 1993:
On that year, several things happened: Czechoslovakia was split in Czech Republic and Slovakia; Bill Clinton becomes president of the USA; there's a bombing in the WTC of New York; Yasir Arafatt (Palestine) and Yitzak Rabin (israel) sign a peace accord in front of president Clinton (too bad that years later, this accord will be broken...); were born celebrities like Miranda Cosgrove, while Cantinflas and Raymond Burr (Stephen Martin) died; Nelson Mandela and Frederik Willem de Klerk won the Nobel Prize of Peace; Bjork makes her debut in music; Aerosmith present Livin' In The Edge and Crazy; series like Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, SWAT Kats, Beavis & Butt-Head, Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, Rocko's Modern Life, Tokusou Robo Janperson, Ninja Moon Sisters Schizutrian, Gosei Sentai DaiRanger, Ghost Sweeper Mikami, and Denkou Choujin Gridman made their debuts on TV; videogames like Star Fox, Samurai Showdown, NBA JAM, Kirby's Adventure, etc., made their debuts; and we meet movies like Jurassic Park, Cliffhanger, Demolition Man, Schindler's List, Free Willy, Godzilla V: Godzilla VS The Super-Bionic Monster MechaGodzilla, and Super Mario Bros.
However, in a regular October 30th, 1993, Tim Burton and Henry Sellick, witht he support of Touchstone Pictures, presented the world a curious story which would become a referent in animation. It's name: THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!!

From the mind of Tim Burton (coming out from a poem written by himself), and with the direction of Henry Sellick, they presented us the story of Jack Skellington, the King of "Halloween Town", who stumbles upon "Christmas Town" and schemes to take over the holiday. Despite it was considered in a beginning as "too dark and scary for kids", the movie earned certain success, for later getting too much success with the time, being labeled as part of the Best of Tim Burton, aside it gave later experience to Henry Selick (who'd later direct other stop-motion animated films, and later would open a studio focused in such style).

And now, with Halloween in the road, and for cellebrate 30 years of this masterpiece, here's this drawing.
