-Right!  the young Umbreon replied as he focused, his tail starting to glow of a harsh silver light.
Marik ran to the practice illusion Yami was using, spun in the air and brought his Iron Tail on the fake dummy, slashing it in half.  Marik followed by a strong Faint Attack, finishing the job on the illusion.
-Great job!  the father congratulated as he hugged his son.  That was very good!
-Thanks dad, Marik smiled.
-Whoa!  Never thought you'd get this strong!  Onikuro complimented.  You, who hate fighting more than anything!
-Yeah, but it's for a good cause.
-Alright, I think that should be good, Marik, Shadow said.  We've been able to enhance your speed, your reflexes, your strength and your attack and defense arsenal.  I'm sure even I would have problems fighting you.
-You're just saying that, Marik blushed, his rings turning pink.  I'm just happy I might be able to help bring Mika back.
-I'm stronger too, dad!  Koneka added as she jumped on her father's back, passing her front paws around the Umbreon's neck.
-Of course you are, sweetie.  You're all a lot stronger than before.
-We're gonna be awesome!  Snowy let out.  Oni, Marik, Zeke, let's go practice our combination move!
-Right!  the three Pokémons replied as they followed the Glaceon to practice their teamwork.  Shadow and Yami watched them go, a smile on their faces.  With Duo's special training, everyone had been able to grow stronger within a week of working hard.  His shoulder healed quickly, so even Shadow had been able to participate in other ways than only using psychic attacks.

The four Pokémons placed themselves in their usual positions: Zeke in the middle, Onikuro on his right, Marik on his left and Snowy behind him.  The four were pitted against Blaze and Spark.  The duo of Chosen was patiently waiting for the children to make the first move.  As rash as he always was, Onikuro dashed first, followed by Zeke.
-What about our formation!?  Marik complained.
-You gotta know how to adapt!  Onikuro replied as he dodged one of Spark's lightning bolts.
Snowy rolled his eyes at his cousin's hastiness.  The young shiny Umbreon charged dark energy for his Dark Pulse attack while Zeke was readying his Aura Sphere.  Blaze was using Ho-Oh's powers to send a powerful wave of heat against her opponents, slowing them down.
-Damn it's so hot!  Onikuro blurted.
-Watch your language, Onikuro, Shadow warned.
-Sorry dad!
Snowy used Articuno's powers to cool down the air around the battlefield, cancelling Blaze's powers.  Onikuro and Zeke launched their attacks, which Spark countered by using his Discharge move, making both attacks collide with powerful electricity.  Marik focused on an opening left by Spark and ran forward.  Blaze realized this and used Ho-Oh's rainbow flames to block the path.  Marik smiled though as he vanished in a sudden glow of light, surprising both adults.  Marik reappeared behind them, his two front paws' claws ready to attack.
-Looks like you forgot about my Double Team, the Umbreon said.
-Very good, Shadow congratulated the fighters.
-You've all improved very much, Duo added as she got up.  Looks like you won't need my help anymore.
The realisation that Duo was going to leave soon hit the children.  They lowered their heads, their ears drooping.
-Aww, it's okay, guys! the Umbrespeon said.  Hope and I will be sure to visit.  I might even bring my mate and my other daughter, Shiroko!
Despite being there only a week, she had grown attached to the united family.  "I just hope it'll be enough..." she thought.  "Stop depressing like this, Duo.  They're going to save Mikazuki, I know it!"  Duo smiled when the children, including Hope who had joined the small group, all started debating who was the strongest between them.  Zeke's muscles tensed up unexpectedly, surprising the others.
-What's wrong, Zeke?  Onikuro asked.
-Someone's coming, the shiny Umbrespeon replied.  No... Three Pokémons...  With really powerful Auras...
Zeke suddenly spun, facing in the direction the Auras were coming from.  Onikuro scanned the area with his psychic powers and confirmed what Zeke said.  The shiny Umbreon warned everyone close to him to be on their guard, afraid of who they might be.  The family members quickly got outside the house, curious and nervous about who Zeke sensed.

It didn't take long for them to know.  After about 5 minutes, three silhouettes appeared at the clearing's border.  Yellow rings glowed on one of them.
-Nocturn...  Shadow muttered.
-Good morning, Fuzzy, Hunter taunted when his eyes met Bolt's.
Bolt tried to remain calm, his fur rising up in spikes.  He clenched his teeth together, staring at Hunter and then at Nocturn.  The third silhouette, though, was unknown to him.
-Hide behind me, Duo ordered Hope as she placed herself in front of her.
-What is it, mommy?  the child asked.
-Those Pokémons aren't nice.  I don't know what they're here for...
The third silhouette accompanying the two others was a Houndoom.  His eyes were empty as he just lay there, staring into nothing.
-No hello?  Hunter taunted the family.  Didn't your mother teach you all to be polite?
-Shut up!  Bolt snapped.  Shut up and tell me where Mikazuki is!
-Or what?  Last thing I remember you didn't do much to me.  The burns I got are all thanks to your filthy rat friend.
-Rat?  Blaze repeated, insulted.  I'll show you who the rat is!
Hunter was about to run towards Blaze to attack her, but tripped over something.  When he looked back, he saw the Houndoom's tail entangled around his leg.
-Let me go, you idiot!
-Wrath said no fighting for now...  the Houndoom calmly said, his voice no more than a whisper.
-Tsk...  the Weavile let out as he got back up.  You're lucky, nine tailed rat.

-What do you want?  the Umbreon asked.
-We came to tell you to give up on saving Mikazuki, Nocturn said.
-Like we're going to listen to you, you little prick...  Bolt growled.  Give me back my daughter!
-I thought I already told you she wasn't your daughter, Hunter laughed.  Still clinging to the lie?  I told you, you're not an Umbreon.  That bitch betrayed you!
-DON'T YOU DARE INSULT DAWN!  Bolt roared as he sent a powerful Thunderbolt to Hunter, who blocked it with his Protect.  GIVE MIKA BACK!
-I'm afraid it's not that simple, the Weavile shrugged.  Master Wrath won't let you have her.
-So, you really are "Wrath"...  Blaze muttered.  I thought you were one of the good guys...  I wanted to believe you were the one to have saved Mikazuki...
-I did save her, Nocturn said.  I saved her from the scum that stops her from growing stronger.

Nocturn suddenly felt a wave of energy pushing him back.  He focused and sent a wave of psychic energy strong enough to counter it.  When he searched for the author of it, he saw an Espeon staring at him with deadly eyes.
-Give her back to us...  Dawn ordered.  Give her back or you're going straight back to Arceus...
-Oh, stop, you're scaring me.  Your little god refused to take my life the first time; I won't give him another chance at it.
-Then I'll take that chance from you!

The Umbrespeon returned him a look of disgust as he and his gang turned to go back.  He was about to start walking when he heard a faint squealing noise.  He turned and stared at where it came from.  A female Umbrespeon was standing there, a determined look in her eyes.
-I see even Pokémons of our kind betray me, Nocturn growled.  Who the hell are you?
-I'm Duo, and if you keep on like this I'll be the one to get rid of you.
-Funny.  How many of the three powers do you control?
-I control perfectly two of them, which...
-Weak, Nocturn muttered.  You can't hope defeat me.
Duo's mouth dropped when she realized what he meant.  "He can control all three of them!?"  Nocturn was about to turn again, but was stopped by the same squealing sound.
-What the hell is that?  he asked, annoyed.
-Hope, stay back, Duo whispered.
Hope only poked her head out of hiding.  She stared at the male Umbrespeon in front of her, feeling something weird in her chest, like she knew him for some reason.  "No, I don't know someone this mean..." she thought.  At the same time, Nocturn was staring at the Umbrespeon child, his eyes widening.
-E... Eliza...  he muttered before memories of his past came rushing inside his head.
