This is probably my favourite cover I did for the ROM vs TF mini series.
I just had so much fun drawing the Dire Wraiths.
From the description of them in the IDW universe, they are shape shifting race with magical abilities. They also infect and take over others species and turn them into wraiths. well this sounded pretty cool and reminded me of The Thing movie with it's creepy alien. So that's how I approached the Dire Wraiths when drawing them doing there craziness. I must say it was too much fun
Also any chance to draw Starscream is golden to me. He's one of my favourite Decepticons
Colors provided by the amazing Josh Perez. I just love the color choices he went with for this piece

No. Rom was a marvel comic in the 80s, a planet faced invasion from a neighboring planet and their only solution was to ask for volunteers to become spaceknights. To keep the war of their planet. ROM was the greatest of the spaceknights

No, it's the name of Rom, the Space Knight. Some dude in armor. Although Starscream at one point thinks someone is talking about "read-only memory" when mentioning ROM.
