Who would have thought a robot with a monotone voice could be so lovable?
I find it interesting that even in such a cheesy 80's cartoon they still managed to make Soundwave convey so much in just his actions.

cheesy. i resent that remark. it still better then some of the trash they pump out these days. 80's cartoons are far superior and more entertaining then the dribble they hash out now. the only good stuff comes from japan, and i don't get to see enough of it up where i live.

The best era of animation was definitely the ninties.
As for today's cartoons, we have the technology to make some brilliant stuff but for the most part the writing department really brings it down.
There are some good shows made after 2000, Ben 10, Justice League, The Batman (the last two seasons), Samurai Jack, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, Venture Brothers, Dethklok, Harvey Birdman.

what did the 90's put out???? in my opinion the 80's had the more story driven cartoons then the marketing driven cartoon. however there were some good cartoons also, like the original batman series that led to the superman cartoon, then justic league and so on. ben 10 is cool also, but some of these cartoons that they hash out these days are total crap. but thats just me, and i grew up on the 80's cartoons. avatar is probable one of the best cartoons out today, but the rest fall short for now. i'll save final judgement for the end of the year.

Ah, that makes sense. I guess we like what we grew up with, I'm a child of the ninties. Spent every morning before school watching cartoons and watched some more when I got home to the time I went to bed.
Let's just both agree that cartoons are awesome.
