So many of you are taking this so non seriously it bothers me.. We are going to have the world end quite quickly thanks to a bunch of absent minded fangirls.Β
I've seen so many posts of "as long as you promise not to be bad!" or "I'll make a deal that'll keep you powerless!" Did none of you watch the show? This beautiful bastard does NOT keep his end of the deal... He uses that stereotype of "Demon made deals are an unbreakable bond" to lure you into a false sense of safety, then takes your mind freely the moment you've said yes.Β
So.. here is my question... What exactly does adopting him entitle? Was he already in this world, or, would it be my agreement that brings him here? Would adopting him be some form of deal to him? Is this a physical version, or a mindscape only version? Would I be the only one who could see/hear him, or would he be freely able to seek out others to make deals with?
If he was already part of this dimension, and by adopting him I would be deal-lessly giving him a mindscape world that only I can interact with, then yes. If for no other reason than to keep him from those who can't handle him...Β
The world I live in is mundane .. I would readily accept his destructive tendencies to fill that empty void. After all, it's harder to make a desperate deal with someone who's an addict to the drama of life, isn't it? I'm accepting of both outcomes.. The world to which his cruelty causes most to beg for an escape.. and the world in which you have to live knowing his love for you is a lie. I'm lucky enough to know that once you've gotten a taste of this bitter sweet world, nothing else will appeal to you again. Even against a lifetime of excruciating pain in the nightmares he causes... Returning to to a normal world after it, will leave you longing forever for that addictive slice of abnormally you once tasted..Β
And let me ask you this, are those who aim to adopt him, willing to live the rest of their life with the guilt of having caused the death of the person you loved the most...?Β
And I'm not talking about the after guilt of him killing those you loved....... I mean the pain of losing Bill himself...Β
2 years of Β games of wit with the Dorito, and somehow, the two of you have grown almost fond of each-other... next thing you know, Β 5 years of him doing nothing but caring and loving you endlessly... having long since broken that shield of uneasy worry that he will find a way to end you. He is the one who has been there for you. The ONLY one who never left your side in your time's of need. Even helped you get your life together, better than you had ever hoped it would be.. Since he can already read your mind anyways... you've come to trust him with your darkest secrets, and your deepest fears.. and instead of playing them to his advantage like he did at the start, he's actually come to treasure that trust unbroken. Not only is he the only one to get you... but he is the only one to make you laugh the way he does. in those 7 years, you've come to actually love him for real.. needing him as a part of your life...
But suddenly, something happens... something equivalent to falling off a mindcliff, or contracting a "mental disease" .. Bill gets hurt. Badly. His body unable to move.. a mix of pain and regret in his eye... He tells you that his body won't make it, that he's sorry kid, but it looks like this is where it ends for him.... he squeezes his eye tightly as a wave of pain hits him, and opens it back up looking at you for the first time with fear ... for the first time in 5 years... he brings up the idea of sharing your body with him... but the second the words leave him, he turns from you with a look of guilt and horror at his own words.. and back again at you with a look of remorse... tears streaming down his face. "Look kid... I understand.. Β I've done some things in my life that are unforgivable.. I know you can't, okay? .. I'm sorry.. I promised myself I wouldn't ask you that again.... not after I------.." he stops suddenly, changing his words, but the words "I came to love you" showed clearly in his eye." look, Just, promise me something okay? .." he takes the remaining strength to gently cup your cheek "just don't forget me when you make it big out there....."
Could you really tell him no?Β
Would you really be willing to let him die in your arms, knowing you could save him?Β
.... If you answer is no, then you don't stand a chance with him. This guy will play any angle to win you over. He waited 5 billion years to be set free... he can wait 5 to win your heart, play the good guy, and if need be, 20 more in silence waiting for you to break down and scream "I'm sorry... I'd make a deal with you, anything you asked, just to bring you back right now..!"Β
