Thank you Hanan. I have lived in the suburbs of a large city for my entire life. Our culture likes the "be a good neighbor and keep to yourself" idea. We know each other's name, and a little of each other's story....but that is all.
In the middle of the city, it is even more so.

i lived in many places, from a village to the capital and i have rarelly well known a neighbour.

my mom did, everybody.

i prefer it that way, they can be so noisy (here, the concept of privacy and personal space is a very vague concept, at best)
