Description
Forlong from the Lord of the Rings (the novel), a lord of Lossarnach, who went to Gondor's aide, along with 200 axe-wielding hillmen, before the siege of Minas Tirith began. Forlong's probably not too fat for today's standards (Forlong the chubby?) but pretty fat for medieval, or pseudo-medieval times.
Not really happy with this piece,as it's design elements are pretty weak and it feels sort of awkward--this is because I did what I don't normally do and decided to just start painting without thumbnails or preliminary sketches.
I plan on doing a painting (hopefully better) of Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth, who, along with his wonderful swan-knights, I've been wanting to render for years now.
