The entire image is excellently done. The detail is also excellent! Question about the truck being hauled. Where does the diver set and how do you see where you are going?

Marrekie In reply to Samskiesctt [2015-10-16 05:37:50 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! The driver is located in the center section just between the headlights. Forward field of view is good, but for the sideviews he/she should probably rely on cameras.

I forgot to ask, how do you keep the line work showing when rendering your models ?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Marrekie In reply to retromaniak [2014-11-20 16:46:34 +0000 UTC]

For this particular image I just did a direct export from sketchup, so the linework is still visible. In my newest deviation though, I first made a render in kerky, followed by a direct black and white llinework export from skp. I used 'overlay' in photoshop to combine the two images. Hope this helps!

Sorry- I didn't mean for you to change your trailer.
Either way, the design is very cool.

Love this design and its intent. I would like the little runabout/cart-like vehicle at the side. Being disabled, I could imagine something like it but with a slide out seat ala the (Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle) from Captain Scarlet,(TOS) though not backward facing. Would be a great way to get about.

I wouldn't mind driving that through the streets of Prague in rush hour. I could probably cut my commute times by half, but the parking would be terrible.

Always dude!

VanishingPointInc [2014-10-09 23:48:45 +0000 UTC]

That's very cool, but will the trailer really support that vehicle?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Marrekie In reply to VanishingPointInc [2014-10-10 05:29:11 +0000 UTC]

Thanks and good question. Around the main axis of the trailer, the upper (slightly visible) and lower structure is thicker. This accomodates two big support beams, in line with the visible double drawbars. Underneath the fflatbed, wide ribs extend from the support beams. Β So, it should hold the load, but the ground clearance of trailers like these sucks

This is the kind of futuristic none Sci-Fi art I like to see. Reminds me of the books that manufacturers and corporations put out in mt teens. All sorts of futuristic items that were promised but not delivered, of not in the same way. I still want my jet-pack for commuting! Keep em coming!

The Landrunner's a beast. It only stands to reason you'd need an even beastlier one to transport it.
