This is pretty amazing. How do you get your textures to work so well in SU?

Glad you like this pic! Those are not real textures. I made the curved paintjob by intersecting similarly curved surfaces with the vehicle-model. Works great.

Ok. I like this a lot. I can see some irony with the Sony logo with XBox colors. Was that intentional or something?

Hahaha, I never realized that! No, it was purely an esthetic choice. I happen to own an X360, but IMO the PS3 is a great machine as well.

That was done in sketch up!?! Wow, nice! I'd love to see what you do with max or maya?

Do you make one side of the model and then copy, flip and paste to the other side, because thats how i do symmetrical models

Marrekie In reply to Bigviggenschtein [2012-09-01 12:45:07 +0000 UTC]
Absolutely, I make use of symmetry as much as I can.

Would you mind sending me a note on your method of texturing? It looks like you used a texture map but it looks a lot smoother than I can get Sketchup to do.

How do you export an image of your models with such a good quality?
š: 0 ā©: 1
Marrekie In reply to Arhito [2012-01-19 20:53:09 +0000 UTC]
I'm glad you like my stuff! It's really just a matter of exporting the image from skp in a high resolution ( this option is in the free version) and then downsize the image afterwards (e.g. In photoshop).
