The book I drew it in was substantially larger than the blackbook I would usually draw in, so I actually had to cut out the picture in order to scan it. I really like having bigger size paper with me on the go, however, so I have since upgraded my main size to that of the bigger book.This piece was a further experimentation/development of my inking style. Those friendly looking worm guys have been known to pop into my work every now and again. I have no control over them.

It would actually be a graphic novel one-shot a friend and I are working on.
The idea was to have it done by the end of the year, and by current estimates we're still just about on schedule, so here's to hoping we can pull it off on time.
If not, definitely within the first few months of the new year. Either way, one is yours.

Well, either way I got a tablet today after all, after like 3 years in the making. I'm sure I'll experiment with both methods and see which feels better. I might shoot a question or two your way when the time comes...if that's cool.

yeah, i reken tablets are more free flowing natural movements like pixel painting sorta thing.
but the mouse can be more precise and under control like vector working.
which tablet u get ?

I don't even know how illustrator reacts to tablets in terms of vector making, so I'll have to check it out. The mouse might be better after all.

There is a drawing tool in illustrator that would work well with the tablet.
I do all my stuff with the pen tool, i just prefer the way it works.
ever tried corel draw ? its worth a look
pretty sure u can download a trial from Corel.
My tablets a cheap ass thing, but it works well and its big so i like it =]

I feel tools are just that: tools. As long as it can get the job done, the rest just depends on your proficiency.

Whoooo. That's the next "dream." It definitely seems like an incredible experience. When I was buying mine, the dude mentioned the Cintiq, and we both looked at each other like "tchhh, maybe next time."

i know loads of people who dislike it though cause its so big (21" screen) so theyve gotta do big arm movements, feels natural to me =]

Thanks so much, kind sir. I love inking. It's painstaking and I always get so nervous and tense during it, cos one small botch and it can lead to disaster, but i love it so.
