For all their might and multitude, the fleets of the Imperium are quickly lost in the vastness of the void, spread thin among the countless worlds and stars they have a mandate to protect. The hunger of the crusade for more troops, weapons, and material is as endless as the universe itself. For this reason, the forges of the Omnissiah could never be silent, the recruitment and training of new troops could never cease.
New forces were assembled by the Forge World Cambria at a ceaseless rate, gleaming vessels leaving the fleet yards with young souls aboard. To each new vessel, following the year 986.M41, would be assigned a veteran of the infernal planes, tech-priests, and skitarii who had gone into the fire and returned from the ruins of the gates. They would be reminders of the true scope of this war to all those serving the Omnissiah. Each of these veterans would bear the symbol of the Pale Blue Light, the stigma of ashen scrith that had been burned into the ring. With this, the Archmagos of Cambria sought to imbue his forces for the crusade with zealous fury and understanding of the stakes. And it would make these vessels feared even among the ranks of their brothers in arms.
