To many who make such a journey from one world to the next, the voidsmen and their astropaths are the architects of all dreams experienced during the long passage through the immaterium.As such, the crews of these ancient vessels carry the responsibility for all souls aboard, for their sanity, the purity of body and mind. To fail in their duty is sheerly incomprehensible to the oldest masters of this trade, and thus they are known to be among the most caring, meticulous groups among the void-borne traders. Whilst most ship captains would not concern themselves with the fears and in-experience of planet-dwellers, the sailors upon ships carrying so many more souls make it a point to know the names of every one of them, keeping them in sacred archives protected by dedicated priesthoods of the ecclesiarchy.

I love the concept of having cryo ships even with warp drives! It makes sense, it gives the Imperium the ability to colonize worlds that would otherwise be beyond it's reach.
And perhaps some fleet of cryonic transports were sent out of the Milky way a long time ago. After all, the Galaxy is filled with horrors.. but perhaps, perhaps if one might be able to avoid encountering the vast hive fleets of the tyrannids, perhaps one could find a new home in the darkness of the void.. An home that one could perhaps even consider safe..
