Guys!Check out this cover from All New XMEN 09! Lines by Stuart Immonen and Wade VonGrawbadger!
Stuart did a great composition which was calling for DRAMA.
I wanted to use a different palette, one that i had not use on any other previous cover of this series. So i went for green, and if you know me, you know i love green.
What do you think? Let me know, let's have a dialogue

I normally have a hard time working with Green (not sure why I don't like it most of the time) but you really make it work. I'm gonna need to look at some of your past work again to see how it's done right!
BTW, I think your colors have really made a lot of the Marvel books you work on really stand out. I've worked with David Curiel in the past and he's the one that introduced me to your work and I'm really glad he did!

I think it's a very nice color handling! Maybe it would look more eyecatching if the explosion in the background would be more yellow and red, but on the other hand it would distract from the foreground... so yeah I guess you did a good job with your choice haha!

Esa es una excelente pregunta!
Es básicamente un contraste. Mi idea era llevar la atención hacia los rostros de los personajes. Por eso allí están los puntos más brillantes y los más detallados. Conforme me alejo del área del rostro voy perdiendo detalles. Básicamente es un contraste de detalle jugando con otro de complementarios.
Los valores y los contrastes son las herramientas mas importantes para el colorista!

Interesante, veo que coloreaste la tinta prácticamente solo en los cabellos, como piensas y decides que tinta teñir? es 100% tu decisión o lo conversas con tu editor o alguien más?
