Description                                          Summoner of Night

You'd never think following something so…pink, would lead to disaster.

The forest after dark may look ominous to most, but not to Chase. The young trainer was willing to face anything, especially after defeating all those gyms. His partner, Monferno, was happily sitting on Chase's shoulder, his tail blaze burning brightly. The two seemed to be indestructible, and so they went looking for new members for their team. Nothing could hurt them in this forest…right?
After walking a bit, Chase noticed something shine off through the bushes. He slowly crept up and ran at them, jumping back at what flew out. What landed on the tree branch above them was a brightly colored bird, pink feathers to be exact – the witch hat formation on its head didn't even look threatening against this shade, like it would on any normal night, for a normal Murkrow. But this wasn't a normal Murkrow, and that made it all the more valuable. Chase quickly gave chase, ironically, as the bird took off through the woods. Monferno held on tightly to its trainer's shoulder, knowing to be ready for a battle as soon as the bird got into a clearing. It flew out of the woods suddenly, and headed up a winding mountain trail – wait, mountain? Had that been there before? Both pokémon and trainer never recalled seeing it, but the boy ran on, unable to let such a rare pokémon go.
The trail ended near the top of the mountain, in a clearing surrounded by trees. The pink Murkrow landed beside some rocks, but that wasn't what Chase was looking at anymore. Chase was looking at the rocks, which had many jewels, coins, broken pokéballs, and even a pokédex or two surrounding the bottom – and on top of the rocks sat a large black bird with a white chest, on a nest, picking little strips of flesh off of a cream-looking corpse. It paused and looked up when the Murkrow landed, and its beady eyes looked even more sinister against its white feathers with black rings around them. It slowly stood and flexed its wings outward, the corpse flying at Chase and Monferno, and the two turned pale when the hollow eyes stared up at them, a coin in the middle of its forehead. The Honchkrow let out a loud, bellowing caw, and suddenly the trees burst forth with life. A large number of Murkrow flew out and landed on the branches, staring Chase and Monferno down, cawing noisily.
Chase may not have gotten it, but Monferno understood. The pink Murkrow was the boss' little pet, a pretty little decoy to lead travelers to the rest. And the more Monferno tuned in, the more he understood the birds' chanting.
Chase was immobilized by fear, so Monferno took over, trying to cling to life for himself and his trainer. He unleashed a flamethrower, but the Murkrow easily dodged and began to circle the area. Honchkrow finally had had enough, and released a final bellow. All the Murkrow went crazy and flew at the two, Trainer and Pokémon, in an aerial dive.
The last thing either heard were the chantings of the Murkrow.
Murkrow. Murkrow. Murkrow. Murkrow. Murkrow. Murkrow. Murkrow. Murkrow. Murkrow. Murkrow.
Murder. Murder. Murder. Murder. Murder. Murder. Murder. Murder. Murder. Murder.

Beautiful. Absolutely lovely. Murkrow and Honchkrow are two of my favourite pokemon. I was hoping to see something involving them.

Wow, I don't recognise all of those entries, I must admit.

I like it, makes for a good cautionary tale, since I think most of us would pursue a shiny pokémon if we saw it. xD

Yeah XD I didn't either. I was glad they were somewhat creepy, though, so I was able to carry out my idea.

Very true XD
