Wow.

Ok, so, a few of you have responded (which was unexpected) to my deletion of my last 'Fantastic Max' ACO.
The reason for the deletion was I'd made a mistake in the action line, and didn't notice it until I'd uploaded the image.

That said, there are *elephants who're more skilled with an art tool than I am; all my cards have errors, but some are more egregious than others. Max's was among those, so it had to go! XD

Anyway, this ACO of Fantastic Max is a bit smudgier than the last ...but I'm out of cares to give. :3

Having erased 'Mighty Max' from my to-draw list, I've decided to do the same with the one Max remaining: 'Fantastic Max'.

I thought of drawing one of Max's friends, since both are more 'furry' than Max here (as well more interesting), albeit, as much of the show's humor involves diapers and other baby-related ideas, Max seemed the best choice to represent the series. I mean, he's the only character who regularly wears a diaper ...and knowing my watchers as I do, the '4-ply diaper, and that safety pin' will not go unappreciated. :3

So what's the show like?

'Fantastic Max' is effectively 'Bobby's World' meets 'The Muppet Babies', if one reduces the latter to only one muppet and gives the former a less-annoying voice.

If that's too ambiguous, 'Fantastic Max' is about Max Young, who is a baby (get it; the names's a joke) and goes on adventures with his friends F.X. (a martian toy with a pull string, who has the power to bring other toys to life), and A.B. Sitter: a Tinker-Toy robot Max built to be his 'plastic parent'.
It's unclear whether Max's adventures are confined to his imagination, as they seem to interact in strange ways with the show's real world. It's as if the writers wanted it both ways.

Anyway, 'Fantastic Max' is dumb, but a good 90's-cartoon kinda dumb. The diaper gags get old quick, and the show's references to pop culture haven't aged well. Either way, I've seen worse. :3

For my drawing tool, I thought to use this Wallace brand 'Invader' pencil. I really like the forgiving nature of the lines---they erase well and the drag is smooth. Alas, all that remains of mine is a stub, albeit, these vintage pencils can yet be found on eBay ...I'm just not gonna buy any. XD
