Callie blinked in surprise, caught off guard by Crystal's sudden change of tack. "Uhh... I bought it at a little curio shop downtown. I thought it would go well with my bard costume."

"Hmm... I know the place," Crystal mused with a pensive frown. "Well, I can cast a compulsion spell on the pendant that will turn it into a powerful love charm. While you are wearing it in Elliot's presence, he will become increasingly enamored of you... and forget all about Tessa."

Callie felt a perverse sense of satisfaction at the idea of Elliot forgetting about his wife and falling in love with her again. She had been terribly jealous of Tessa when she found out Elliot was getting married...

"You need to take the pendant off for me to enchant it," Crystal said, holding out her hand.

Callie hesitated, suddenly feeling very ashamed of herself. How could she find any satisfaction in the idea of her friends being turned into figurines so that she could have Elliot to herself?!

"Well, if you don't want Elliot, I will just transform him with the others..."

Blushing fiercely, Callie slipped the chain off and handed it to Crystal. She couldn't risk losing Elliot forever! She bit her lower lip and watched as Crystal cast the spell with her wand.
