What did this animal evolved from? I'm just curious.

There is a new COM over on the Spec Evo forums. Would I be able to use something vaguely similar to this? By that I mean a form of fossorial ungulate with digging horns??

Yeah, I saw. Also sure, as long as it's not too similar.

Actually, I've moved on from mole-goats.
I'd like to see what you think of these three ideas (all are fossorial): Highly derived, hand-walking, spade-footed sea turtles.
Reptile-like, ectothermic digging bats.
Horrendous, shovel-faced, tentacle-headed, death worm, graboid looking, psedo-vertebrate terrestrial bobbit worms.

1. As long as you have an explanation as to why they walk on their hands and why they moved to land, then sure. The idea is nice, especially the space-footed part.
2. I'm alright with that. Also, how reptile-like?
3. As long as its evolutionary history is plausible, then yeah.

1. They moved to land after a catastrophe destroyed most terrestrial wildlife. They walk on their forelimbs because they were fare stronger than their hind limbs.
2. Very, looks a lot like a shingleback skink.
3. Huge extinction, they happen to survive, jump to the opportunity and creatue a whole world of tentacled, beaked monstrosities.

This is a cool idea! How smart are they? I like to take other peoples' speculative creatures and evolve them further (preferably into sapients). I've not yet uploaded anything but I'd only upload any of those with their creator's permission.

Thanks! Well it's not much smarter from modern cows, which aren't that bad, but there are probably better candidates to evolve into sapients.

Sweet! It's just that they have small eyes and their head looks really big compared to Β the rest of the body, and they're communal meaning they would have coordination in groups, and like rats, dolphins, beluga whales, rhinos and elephants that would lead to considerable intelligence!
Also, last night I looked at this picture again and saw its feet... Are those DEWCLAW TOES!?

Well the head is big, cause it needs to support the large digging horns and teeth, while the eyes are small, cause the animals spent a lot of the time underground where they use whisker-like hairs and touch instead.

I knew that the eyes would be small for underground usage.
