Description These medium-sized flying mammals inhabit dry and mountainous areas.

They are highly adaptable feeders that opportunistically take a wide range of prey. They mostly feed on mammals, both alive and dead, terrestrial arthropods and invertebrates such as tape scorpions and walking snails, eggs, reptiles and plants.

I ask myself this question a lot...
Actual recent animals are all kinda boring...but maybe that's just because we're used to them

How do they walk without forelimb feet? I could imagine an adorable birdlike waddle.

They are mostly bipedal but they can also use their wrists for support on the ground

Yeah, elephant shrews were my main inspiration for it

Don't you think leptictids (small , elephant shrew like lepitctidium relatives)  and pseudorhynchocyonids (the family to which leptictidium belonged) resemble elephant shrews?

Yep, they’re some sort of flying elephant-shrew-like gluttons

These were initially planned to be trunked dragons but I then went with a more „realistic“ look

wait tarsier is not the animal I was thinking of XD i have my english translations mixed up, i ofcourse meant elephant shrews, their czech names are deceptibly similar as they are both derived from their elongated tarsi... XD
