Description Despite its name, this medium-sized frugivore is not actually a bat but a flightless megabat (flying fox).
It inhabits the dense Australoantarctic forests and spends a majority of the time in the high canopy.

Awesome! How did the wing digits evolve into ape-like hands?

The entire design looks too ape like, so it's not really accurate to how I imagined it...
It should actually have much shorter limbs and the fingers should be stubbier
The version on this picture looks better:

The ape-like bauplan looks very good actually, I just don't know if a bat wing could ever evolve into fully functional 4-fingered hand... but who knows, I have seen weirder things.Β

That's a good argument...
Their fingers are supposed to be pretty useless anyways. They're just used to hold on to branches

incredible idea! slthough its four hands are eerily ape-like, except the thumb claws XD

too bad there is lots of white above its head while its toenails had been trimmed a bit too much though. ouch. XD

Thanks!
I reckon it’s a bit too ape-like… but maybe it’s just a very ape-like species
It’s related to the critter on the branch in the back: juniorwoodchuck.deviantart.com…

Yeah, my scanner thought it would look better like that -.-

Maaan. I was toying with a similar idea. Well similar to a point, that is. I might get started on mine now then.

Interesting idea, so its a more realistic relative of the "future predator" from Primeval?
