Description Upright deer are some of the great mammals of 8 myl India, and also some of the largest deer in the world. With a height roughly 1.9 m to the shoulder and 2.4 m to the top of the head (not counting the horns). The large herbivores are descended from sambar deer, and live in large herds throughout the arid Indian savannas, which are spread in small groups of 2-5 members that feed together, often affectionate to each other (like modern cows). At night, the herds tend to gather in larger groups of up to 20, and a herd may have as much as 60 individuals. They get their name from their feeding posture. While they often eat grasses or low shrubs, over 35% of their diets is made of high leaves and twigs, which they are able to get by standing on their back legs. This allows them to reach up to 4 m high, being also helped by their long 40 cm tongues.

Random question, did you ever come across a future is wild wiki with a multitude of animals including the ones from the show?

I really like the idea of giant future deer with modest antlers.

Thanks! They've shrunk, cause they wouldn't help the animal that much.

No tiger, leopard or lion descendents

The anteater bear is a sloth bear descendent, right?

First, yes there is a leopard descendant, as leopards are the only pantherines that have survived, and have actually diversified into at least 4 species. Lions, and tigers are dead though.
Second, yes anteater bears are sloth bear descendants.

Cool

Yay!

In North America, possible lion and tiger descendents could thrive

Nope, tigers are dead (and will most likely be dead pretty soon), while lions are supposed to have gone extinct roughly 2.5 myl.
