I bought my contacts online for $80, but stores online all require you to fax them a prescription even if it's for plaino lenses. It's law that you need to have an eye care specialist write you a prescription in order to buy any form of contacts, so you need to be sure you have one if you plan to order from most places. If you luck out, you can sometimes find theatrical lenses for sale at anime cons that won't require you to show a prescription, I've gotten a few pairs that way as well.
