Description So here's the coloured up version of my original inked image here: [link]

I will be the first to admit that I am far from a competent colourist by any standard, but I did the best I could with my meager skills. I've slaved over this piece for a couple of days, on Photoshop, going old school using only a mouse to colour with.

Some people have said that the original image is hard to read, due to the crazy amount of detail I put in there. Hopefully with the colours now, addresses those issues and corrects the problem.

Anybody who knows me, knows that I love the artwork of Joe Mad (Joe Madureira). He's got a new video game coming out called Darksiders: Wrath of War, which is looking great and reflects alot of Joe Mad's artwork and style.

I'm a huge fan of fantasy, and really enjoyed things like Battlechasers, Lord of the Rings, Record of Lodoss War, etc. so this opportunity to take part in this contest was just a chance I couldn't pass up.

So for my pin up, I decided to have War in the heat of battle, up to his neck in demons, having to slice his way through the horde of them, pretty much like the game would be.

I also included elements from the game, like the angels flying above, and more demons showing up, via meteorites falling from the sky.

As per usual, as in most of my work, I really do my best to make my backgrounds look as good as they can be. Part of the fun is to draw the full building lightly in pencil, then start taking chunks out of it, sort of like a Jenga game, lol.

Overall, this was a very fun piece to draw, and I really enjoyed my experience. Hope you all like it too, Marvin.

Hahahaha, thanks Alvaro, your kind words are greatly appreciated. I'm glad you like it that much man.

As for winning this contest, I want to win it, but that's out of my hands now, lol. So we'll see what happens, when the voting takes place in January. I'll keep you up to date on things.

lol, I'll take your word for it Elaine. Whenever I colour one of my pieces, my only wish is not to make the piece worse than it was before, lol.

Hopefully the colouring helps the viewer be able to read it more clearly than when it was inked.

The color really does make certain parts of the art stand out more.

Well it looks like the colours did their job then, lol. I do the best I can with my limited knowledge of colour and meager Photoshop skills, lol.
