Description Recently, I've played The Stanley Parable. (The 2013 remake, that is.) It was strangely addictive. In this game, you play as Stanley, and you don't play as Stanley. I've finished the game, and I haven't finished the game. The game makes sense, the game is confusing.

So recently, uploaded this animation: tukari-g3.deviantart.com/art/F… So I figured, I think I wanna do my own take on The Stanley Parable. Like Tukari, I, too, experienced through all those sheer confusion.

Since this will take a long time to complete, I decided to just post the first few seconds here so you people can see what I did thus far. For the completed version, I plan to animate some of my most favorite wackiest endings from that game. The animation is meant to be in-sync with "Following Stanley" by Blake Robinson, which will be included together with the finished version. But I prefer calling it "The Stanley Parable Adventure Lineβ„’ Music."

Sorry for not replying earlier. Kinda too busy and stuff... I'm not even sure if I'll be able to continue working on this animation any sooner.

"Marwan walked through the door on the left."

The animations of you two differ like they were night and day;

Tukari's Parable seems like a comedic adventure with a funny thrill.
Marwan's Parable feels like a stressful path into the feared unknown with a touch of calm melancholy - in a romantic and positive way. I love good grimdark fiction/literature.
I'd personally slap Self Esteem Fund from Portal to your animation (oh, how I adore this track).

It's only the tip of the iceberg. The final animation is meant to be just as funny as Tukari's animation and will still use "Following Stanley" as the soundtrack, regardless.

Not exactly my favorite part. But I love the fact that the developers are giving a shout-out to both Minecraft and Portal 1. (As well as the original Stanley Parable mod for Half-Life 2.)

This was not the correct way to the meeting room, and Marwan knew it perfectly well. Perhaps he wanted to stop by the employee lounge first, just to admire it.

MarwanGreenCritter In reply to AlexRaccoonGlider [2013-12-07 19:01:18 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! Well, actually... my animation is not representative of Malaysian animation. Our animation industry didn't quite kick-off until the late 90s. A typical Malaysian animated TV series on Saturday mornings look quite cheap with jagged character animation and bad voice acting. (Budget may also have been a factor, because Malaysian animation produced for the foreign market are shockingly of higher quality than the ones produced for the local market.) But then, there's high quality local stuff as well, like Upin & Ipin, Bo Boi Boy, Bola Kampung, etc. (Google them to find out about them.)
