I haven't posted in a while, so I'll kick off my wave of pieces I've done from the past year with my most recent work.I wanted to take the extreme subject matter of tattooing and apply it to to familiar and welcoming style. At Studio 14's recent gallery show, the response was as expected. People would walk up to it, seemingly enjoying the style, and would turn around seconds later and walk out the door.

Wow, this is really sort of breathtaking, in the best way possible. If you ever make prints available for sale, I'd love be able to hang it in our living room. If we had a mantle, that's where it would go, but we have nothing like that, so over the couch would have to do. If not for me, do it for the masses!

Thanks, I'm a science nerd so I viewed it as a big experiment. haha We made sure that it would be the last thing viewed so it's shock value would be noticeable. They would walk through and see all of these seemingly normal paintings, then once happening upon mine, it was the same described reaction every time. I prefer people walking away from my paintings because they're so volatile, rather than staring blankly smiling and walking away unphased.
