That is expensive!!!!! But she is wonderful nonetheless, and considering how little you say you like doing "pretty" dolls! I'd say you are equally skilled with this subject as you are with all those that you do in your sculptures!

I know what you mean, as doll makers we do have to keep our own material costs down! Still, I think it's nice to do a special figure now and then whereon one uses more costly materials just to push the whole thing a bit more, does that make sense?

You are right, but people in Russia are so poor, you should see their eyes when they see a price... there is sadness or pure hate in those eyes. So yeah, I try to sell dolls cheap.

Well, people who get mad about what you are asking for your work- which is till not enough, in my humble opinion- have no right to be upset because they have absolutely no concept of what goes into such work! I mean you are creating something!!!! Secondly, I doubt very much that any one of them would have a problem asking for a bit more for whatever they do to make a living... I bet they would even be insulted if everyone told them they needed to ask for less for what they do... One thing that makes me mad is when people get mad at me for what I charge for what I do! Again, it is all a matter of perspective...

That's true! People think that creativity is free and simple, it is not some "true job", but what is a true job? Most of the jobs these days are virtual, we live in illusion of Visa cards, TV screens, Web etc. Of course we need doctors, cleaners and so on, but some people think that what we do is good for the soul and it must be for free...
