You managed to create a lot of atmosphere with basically two tones here. And one has to be careful with black, it's a very strong "colour". The picture looks too relaxing, even though there is movement and dynamics, and it dangerously deceives about the possible tragedies that are going to happen (bloody battles in the sunset). you could think of someone just riding atop the hills or along the beach in a sunset and that all is fine. But actually there will likely be wounds and death.
Does Alexander the Great officially count as a Greek or rather a Makedonian?

But Alexander still did not divide the current Greeks and Macedonians ... This is a fact. Although in those ancient times the land in northern Greece was called Macedonia.

Иллюстрация напомнила последние строчки трилогии про Александра Мандфреди...когда он перед смертью снова видит Буцефала и Перитаса. Вот действительно, как будто иллюстрация к этой книге :_

Просто когда рисовала её, конкретно ничего не иллюстрировала...пыталась создать просто динамический образ, некое воплощение всей эпохи Александра... Но так приятно мне Ваше сравнение с тем эпизодом книги Манфреди... Очень благодарна Вам за такие тёплые слова!

Hey, have your read David Gemmell's "Lion of Macedon" and "Dark Prince"? I think you'd enjoy those books. The second in particular deals with Alexander the Great.
