Once again, some characters that aren't mine. :\Which is sort of cheap if you think about it. I really need to make up some of my own cutsey characters. When I look at Sanrio or San-X though, I feel like I'd be too influenced by them. I'll end up making something that looks exactly like something they've already done.
Anyway, this is my favorite Sanrio pup: Pom Pom Purin with his best friend Pom Pom Muffin.
Since Purin is so fat, sometimes I like to think that Muffin is his pastry making slave.
Muffin is pretty chubby himself though, so you know he must get a fair share.

You drew this? O_O That looks exactly like the original, you got everything right, even the proportions, I can never get proportions (so I made them unimportant in my drawings XD)

My favorite is batzumaru the bird one... but I haven't looked at their stuff recently. Besides hello kitty. You just... can, not miss that. It's everywhere...
Really cute and well-arranged, just right for such a theme. Only I'm not sure if down the left is a good place for the small pictures considering that's where most PC users keep their icons. But it looks good anyway so

San-X is a lot more interesting than Sanrio in a lot of ways. Sanrio is still amazing, but San-X has a lot of the cooler characters like Kogepan, Beerchan, and Nyan Nyan Nyanko (also, the cheese family).
I noticed that putting Muffin over where the icons usually go probably wasn't a good idea..but then they didn't really look right at the top of the page. So I just kept them there. :\ My boyfriend likes to keep his icons elsewhere, so I thought those people who might keep their icons off the left side could possibly enjoy this one. Still, I might make a version where it's blank over there (perhaps I could put the hamster in the middle/top ?).

Naw, I dunno... I really like this layout and, my icons ARE sprawled everywhere... soon as I said it I remembered mac icons are on the right anyway... that's rarely stopped me with wallpapers

The pastry making slave occurred to me, too! I adore how smooth your lines are, and Purin looks blissfully unaware of Muffin's toil. hahah
.. and you know what, you should do Ebichu. If you haven't already. I bet there's already an Ebichu picture in your gallery and I missed it because I totally suck D:

I cheated I cheated! On the lines, that is. XD
The hamster Muffins on the left are my lineart. The ones on the right are 100% photoshop pen tool (vector-ish sort of tool). I sketched out those right hamsters and decided I liked the sketch lines more than I would like the vector-lines. THAT, and I'm a lazy ass. :3
Anyhow, it's funny you would mention Ebichu! I just finished watching a bunch of episodes a couple weeks ago. I actually did draw him a long time ago holding a cake...but I think it might've been on the other computer we have (and it was only an icon sized picture).
So you totally do not suck. And I will totally do an Ebichu picture.
Because Ebichu is the shiat.
