Commission from 54godamoraSuggestion: team #RWBY becoming Mermaids.
Scenario: they are sent on a mission to an island to locate someone who was missing since The Great War.
Unfortunately, the person is dead but her spirit cursed the moon pool that is in a cave in the heart of the island. The curse is that any women who entered the moon pool would be cursed to be a maiden of the sea aka a mermaid.
The girls arrived on a full moon. They are drawn to the moon pool, stripped and entered it. The curse takes effect and turns them into mermaids.
How image should look: they have clambered out of the moon pool and rest, back against the cave wall, arms propping their upper bodies up. Their expressions are of shock, awe, fear, and dread.
Color of their tops and tails:
Ruby- red
Weiss- icy blue
Blake- purple
Yang- yellow

hmmm... sure... i think it would start off with Team RWBY being Giving a mission by Ozpin, about a strange island that hasnt been Explored, as apparently, the grimm dont spawn there so Ozpin thinking Team RWBY will be able to find out why task them to go to this island, and find why the Grimm seem to not appear on the island, and if said island can be used as a outpost of some sort... oh and i think this would take place during Vol2

i have it divided into 3 acts:
Act 1: knowing about the mission, preparing for it, and then leaving beacon in an airship
Act 2: arriving on the island, setting up camp, full moon at night, they are drawn to it, they strip & enter, and are turned into mermaids followed by panic attack and then getting out and falling asleep from exhaustion (i'll do the transformation part, you do their reactions)
Act 3 can either be one of two options:Β
1. They are stuck as mermaids for rest of their lives and have to mourn their old lives and get used to mermaid life
2. they are dry and back to normal but whenever they are taking a bath, go to a swimming pool or swimming in a body of water, they turn into mermaids.

ok. oh and additionally, keeping with the H20 theme, they gain powers:
1. Ruby- control air
2. Weiss- freeze water
3. Blake- make water tendrils
4. Yang- boil water.

and here's what i mean by transformations:
1. hair becomes shiny and they gain eyeliner and colored tips to eyelashes
2. their ears become elf-like and gain 3 pairs of gills on neck
3. optional: bust expansion. Ruby- F cup, Weiss- E cup, Blake- G cup, Yang- J cup. if not, just give them either revealing seashell tops or revealing scaly tops
4. their lower half turning into a mermaid tail. legs moving closer together, then the legs lock together and fuse into one limb, ankles, feet, and toes fuse into a fin, and finally a cascade of shiny scales glides down their lower limb with their fin getting color as well.
Colors for each
1. Ruby. Top: shiny red. Tail: bright red with pale red fin and pink edges
2. Weiss. Top: shiny icy blue. Tail: bright icy blue with pale blue fin and white edges
3. Blake. Top: shiny purple. Tail: bright purple with pale purple fin with yellow edges. Glows in the dark.
4. Yang. Top: shiny yellow. Tail: gold with pale yellow fin and red edges.

7. finally, a cascade of shiny icy blue scales glides down her lower limb. her fin is light blue with white edges. Weiss Schnee is now a mermaid!

5. they locked together and fused into one limb. she whimpered "t-this feels so weird"
6. her ankles, feet, and toes fused into a fin. she struggled. MY LEGS!!!!
7. finally, a cascade of shiny Ruby Red scales glides down her lower limb. her fin is Rose Red with Black edges. Ruby Rose is now a mermaid!

3. her clothes vanished, leaving her in a purple scaly revealing top. she blushed and covered herself

6. her ankles, feet, and toes fused into a fin. she cried please stop!
7. finally, a cascade of shiny purple scales glides down her lower limb. her fin is bright purple with yellow edges. Blake Belladonna is now a mermaid!
She yelled I've turned into a mermaid! she realized something. Wait. . . it's the moon pool! it's doing this to us!

Yang hearing what Blake said and how she would be Next she quickly tries to get out, but it was too late
1. Her hair became shiny and she gains Golden eyeliner and Yellow tips on her eyelashes. She gasped NO NOT ME TOO!
2. Her ears became elf like and she gained 3 pairs of gills on her neck. "ah! my neck!!"
3. her clothes vanished, leaving her with just an Golden Yellow scaly revealing top. she tried to get her Scroll out but was slow "NO!"
4. her legs moved closed together. she shook her head "GRRR, WHY IS THIS HAPPENING!?"
5. they locked together and fused into one limb. she Struggles to pull them apart
6. her ankles, feet, and toes fused into a fin. she shook agressivly "STOP, JUST STOP!!"
7. finally, a cascade of shiny Golden scales glides down her lower limb. her fin is Fire Yellow with Golden edges. Yang Xiao Long is now a mermaid!
she cries alittle hugging herself "dammit, dame this Moon Pool, WHY?!"

they all stare at their mermaid bodies in shock, fear, and slight wonder.
Yang- well this sucks!
Blake- what are we going to do?!
Weiss- why us?!
Ruby- girls, focus! maybe if we get out of this pool and dry out, we'll be back to normal.

the Humming from the Crystals comes back and the water suddenly starts to rise, in a Unatural way, the girls all shook in fear before the water gently puts them on the land before going back into the Moon Pool and the Humming Quiets down "t-thank you... u-um W-water?" Ruby stays close to Yang as the Humming continues, a almost melody which Blake started to pick up "mako..." the three look at blake and she looks back at them "i-i think i can understand the humming, its a whisper... a voice and it said this island is... Mako Island" the Crystals seem to Glow alittle brighter and Wiess then looks upwards "o-ok... M-Mako?... s-sir?...o-or m-ma'am i-is there a way to Dry us off f-faster?... i-im sorry b-but i... i dont want to be a mermaid forever... h-how can i Fight Grimm and be a H-huntress i-if im like this?" (how about you try doing the next bit)

then four glypshs appeared on the cave walls and their lower arms glowed.
Ruby- what the?!
Yang- now what?!
Blake- there's more?!
Weiss- what now?!
once the glowing stopped each of them had a symbol of some kind on their wrist.
Ruby- left wrist a symbol of wind
Weiss- left wrist a symbol of ice
Blake- right wrist symbol of water
Yang- right wrist symbol of steam.

Wiess noticed each of the Symbols and realised what Mako Island was telling her "Yang, Ruby... you two can Dry us off Faster!" Ruby and Yang looking at there Symbol on there wrist eyes widen "wait... does that mean we have more powers?!" Yang looks at her Teammates and smiles but then looks up a little worried "if we have new powers... how can we used them without hurting eachother?" the Crystals glowed once again and with its own Glypshs lifted up a ball of Water, showing off Blakes abilitys which she found Magestic, even noticing a few fish in it, then once the Fish flung themselves out it froze into Solid ice a almost perfect ball to Wiess's eyes, the Frozen ball almost fall into the water if it wasnt for a small tornado holding it up and Ruby couldnt help but awe, almost feeling the call to use this wind as her own, then the Ice started to steam half of it at a fast rate like a Roaring Fire at the bottom but then a slow pace at the top, a gentle Flame which made even Yang look on looking at her hand, she understood what she could do and gave a soft smile looking up "thank you, Mako Island... alright... hold still girls, Ruby?"Β Ruby smiled her hand in a wave like pose "ready" (lets see you try making the next scene of Ruby and Yang drying there team off)

ruby created an air current on her tail with her hand and yang clenched her fist and steamed started to rise around her tail, drying her out.
Ruby- stings a little but it should work.
a few seconds later, she's back to normal. . . with a few exceptions. the shiny hair, eyeliner, and tips of her eyelashes remain. as well as the faded "tattoo" on her wrist.

they smile and Ruby and Yang get to work on Wiess and Blake along with Yang herself, once they go back to normal... with the few Exceptions, they look at the time and saw it was still nighttime "how long have we been in here?" Wiess checked her Scroll's clock and saw it was past 10:55 PM "it took us a while just to get here... maybe we should sleep here... then... um maybe use the Moon Pool to see if there is a way out?... i-if o-of course Mako is ok with this?" the Crystals hum softly which Blake noticed had a Motherly tone to it and she smiles "Mako Island says this will be like our Second home, because of what we can become and do" Ruby smiled and looks up "thanks you Miss Mako!" the Girls swore the Crystals humming were smiling as it suddenly made four Special beds... a Quadrupal Bunk Bed actually out of Ice and snow, Ruby went first and Ironicly almost Melted as she turned to her Teammates "its SOOO soft, come on, give it a try" Ruby quickly but carefully went to the Top Bunk while Yang went to the Bottom Bunk "just a guess, but i think if we touch water, our... Mermaid selves will come back... wont this melt in our sleep?"

Team RWBY slowly woke up thanks to the Crystals Glow and Hum, they slowly get up and all said Good morning to eachother and also Mako Island, though Ruby said Mother Mako as she felt it was a perfect name for a Sentient Island "so aside from getting back to Camp, whats on the Agenda for today?" Yang's Teammates Shrug but Ruby smiles "i think we should learn how to be Mermaids!, imagen what we coud do if we master our new powers!..." "Ruby does have a point, Mother Mako... huh the name really fits... anyway Mother Mako seemed to give us this power for a reason... it didnt seem to be we were randomly choosin as we were here"Β the Team Nods knowing what Blake means

(well you said like a Vessel or an Angel so i was thinking something more like that... XD but the Golem isnt a bad idea, plus i could see it being a perfect way to test Team RWBY's new powers as well and learn how to fight with there tails instead of Legs)

Her Teammates nod ready to Enter the Moon Pool but the Crystals Started to Glow once again and Hum, the Moon Pool starts to Sparkle as it starts to take a form, a small heart Shape Crystal in the middle and the water freezing over, the girls looked shocked and in awe as the Humming quieted but Blake understanding it more easily heared what the hum said "angel?" the now Water being in front of them called Angel turns to them and give them a water looking smile, as it offers four hands to the girls, Wiess smiles and gently grabs the frozen hand, Blake and Yang do the same while Ruby blushes a little, finding this a little embarressing, (lets call the Golem 'Angel') it gently pulls them into the Moon Pool and allows there Transformation to happen before diving down into the water

Team RWBY found that using a Tail to Swim was definitly challenging compared to swimming without one, but since they could now breath underwater they didnt have to worry about drowning, but with the thankful help of there Guardien Angel they got Swimming with a tail down, Wiess got it more easily as it felt Elegant, almost like using her Weapon and Semblence, next was Blake mostly thanks to her Faunus Traits, though it was a small problem as well but thanks to Angel she soon lost her problem with the water and Focused on training to use her tail, Yang actually had fun learning how to use her tail as once she got the hang of it, slightly being Stubborn and saying she can do it herself, she found her tail held just as much strength as her own two fists, Ruby had the most trouble so Angel was near her the most, but thanks to Angel she learnt it was like using Cresent Rose "This is FUN!! WHOO HOOOO!!!" "its really is nice Ruby, its still strange being able to breath underwater, but forget about it and you just feel, Free" Blake smiled resting on some rocks letting some of the fish swim nearby "i never thought being in the sea would be so beautiful, i almost never want to leave" "you can say that agian Blake, not to mention my Tail has some Serious Kick to it" Yang grinned managing to break a smal bit of rock and smack it with her tailΒ
