The fact that Mienshao is weak to Fairy-type Pokemon bugged me at first. (Play Rough is a pain in my rear to say the least.) But some of them have started to grow on me recently. Mawile in particular. I even have one on my team in X now.
So I decided to draw my new Mawile character, Lystra, grooming Harriet, Sho's mom. I originally wanted to draw a picture of Sho and Lystra together since they're friends, but I think Harriet deserved to be drawn instead since I only have one other picture of her.Β
Also, I know my skills haven't really improved, but after struggling with drawing anything meaningful lately, I'm glad I went ahead and made this. It's refreshing.

I'm into the metagame and I can confirm Mienshao is really having it BAD this generation. I hardly can sweep with Mienshao anymore, and for now is simply a counter against things like Tyranitar or Mamoswine >u<

Tell me about it. With the Fairy Pokemon Mienshao has to avoid and all of these Ghost-types, it's getting harder to use.

Smogonbird, all the normal types Mienshao can't OHKO anymore because the retyping, Metagross and Jirachi going down to lower tiers making Mienshao less use. Hell, the fairy type is supposed to be a balance, but the only biggest fighting threats are Infernape and Blaziken, yet they resist Fairy thanks to being Fire. I mean wtf... I think running Knock off is a good idea for Mienshao since can hit hard with itΒ replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-β¦

That was neat battle. Didn't know Mienshao could learn that move.
And I agree about the Fairy-type. It's weak to two uncommon types (Poison and Steel) and strong against Dragon and Fighting, which are the most powerful types. It's OP on that alone. I wouldn't be surprised if a generation or two from now, Game Freak makes another type to make Fairy more balanced.
