[Mason is a kind individual. Always has a good disposition to others which suits him well as a CSR at his job. Usually seen smiling and with a portable game system within his hands, always willing to help his friends out, and usually going out of his way to do so. Be it loaning someone a few bucks or doing some manual labor. But at times he can be pretty lazy. And other times, he can be real mean and short tempered.]

History
[Mason has always been a great fan of videogames ever since he was a child. Though the years, he mostly played on consoles, controller in hand and staring at the television screen. Though his parents always didn’t approve of it. But hey, at least he wasn’t doing anything worse than that. Durring his teen years, he eventually got a job, mainly to earn money to continue and expand his gaming life, moving out of his parent’s home and moving into his own apartment. Allowing himself to be able to play his games for several hours at a time without interruption Most of his money was always put towards his gaming life, games, controllers, subscriptions, etc. The rest was put towards his living expenses, food, gas, and rent. Saving whatever he could afterwards He didn't get into the VRMMORPGs as his friends did, mainly because he could not afford to.

Eventually, his friends finally convinced him to join them and purchase a Nervegear system. Though so generous of them, they got him one of the newest games to be released, Sword Art Online... while they just let him get the system himself. Of course being new to VRMMORPGs, he was pretty excited when he first started playing SAO with his friends. But his excitement quickly turned to terror when 'it' happened.
Mason and his friends quickly banded together and fought for their lives each day since they became trapped within SAO. Raising their levels, gaining newer and better gear to help them survive longer. Looking out for eachother's backs and covering each other's weaknesses. Day by day, his fear of being trapped was fading away. They all eventually formed a guild and made a name for themselves, offering help to other players to clear dungeons, find items and equipment, and complete other tasks, as Mercenaries for hire. However, they never agreed to help one PK another.

One day, someone came to them, pleading for them to help one of their friends trapped deep within a high level monster territory. Quickly, they agreed to save the player. As they ventured further and further into the field, they noticed something odd.... there were no monsters to be found, nothing to fight, even though they were deep in monster territory. Soon after, they found themselves surrounded, but not by monsters, but by a multitude of players, members of a well known PK guild. They fought for hours, barely fending off the onslaught by their attackers. Eventually, their defenses weakened and one by one, his friends began to die before his eyes. Seeing their terrified faces before they shattered into oblivion. And within that hour, his heart sank as he saw his friends killed before his eyes, until he was the last one left, barely standing, his health critically low. As the attackers approached him to finish him off, something snapped within him. His sadness changed into rage, turning him into a berserker, gripping his weapon and charging at his enemies, managing to kill them one by one in his blind rage until they were all defeated, and himself, the only one standing.

For days, he stayed in the nearby town’s inn, mourning the loss of his friends. From then on, he kept to himself, continuing on as a solo-player. Keeping far from getting involved with other players, and taking out what ever rage he had left out on the zone’s monsters. And as he fought, something was different than how he played before; all he did was attack, barely defending against any attacks by the monsters, and when his health fell far enough, he would blank out, and before he realized it, he was standing, weapon in hand and nothing but a ‘results’ screen before him. He had developed a Berserker personality.

Time passed and finally, Mason released from the clutches of SAO as the game was beaten. It took time for Mason to recover and get back into the swing of his old life again. But, he was no longer the person once was, he kept to himself more, and delved more into his games, keeping to his consoles, and away from the Nervegear. But as he played, it didn’t feel right anymore to him, nothing felt as fulfilling as the things he did in that virtual world, especially without his friends.

Around the time of his birthday, he received a package from his family; his birthday present. And within it was a game, Alfheim Online. Immediately he threw it into the trashcan. But a few hours passed, and his decision began to waver. He picked the game up from the trashcan and just stared at it for a while, hesitant to want to play it. He retired to his room for the night, still staring at the game case, until finally after much thought and reflection, he came to a decision, he was going to play it, he was going to dawn nervegear on once again. He was going to start anew, live for the friends he lost and protect any and all new ones he makes. Leaving all his sorrow that he felt during SAO behind and delved into the world of Alfheim Online.]

But when he gets cornered or runs critically low on health, he will end up berserking and go all out, be it a monster or a player, and continually attack until either of them are defeated.]
