Deva Nui, a place that perfectly balances the elemental tribes, including rare tribes, such as the Cro-Matoran and the Ma-Matoran. The island contained larger Rahi, which were either domesticated or wild.
The Cro-Matoran had the capability of swimming in swamps, use explosive-gooey bamboo disks, and wore Kanohi that resembled the Rahi living in the swampy area.
The Ma-Matoran are able to swim in lava, use flamed ammo, and wore Kanohi that looked like as if it were melded and melted.
When a Makuta was born, it has ruled Deva Nui. Awakening the Bohrahkshi and mind-controlling the Island's most biggest Rahi, Makuta Dios was able to cast darkness over the island. Gaurding Dios' mangaia are 10 large Manas-Papaka, able to rip apart any brave Toa or Matoran with its mandibles and claws. If the Manas-Papaka failed to gaurd the Mangaia, the ultimate backup was even a much bigger Rahi: Rahi-Mohoao. The Rahi-Mohoao was successful at brutally destroying some Toa, in which some bones of brave Toa still lie in the Mangaia.
When three Toa came, it was a sure fact that they would finally obliterate Makuta Dios, and save Deva Nui. The only thing that would stop the three Toa, are the Bohrahkshi. The Bohrahkshi are hybrids of both Bohrok and Rahkshi that were controlled by a mutated insect called the Kranatta: a dangerous insect that has the power to drain your energy and mind control its host.
Hiku was one of the three Toa. He decided, however, to confront the Makuta himself. When it was no use, Hiku's other two teamed Toa teamed up with him, destroying what was last of the gargantuan Makuta.
