What if Rani is evil and kidnaps Kion to keep him at the Tree of Life for his Roar
(The Lion Guard: Divide and Conquer - Prologue)
(Kopa and Kion and their friends listen as Mufasa tells the news of Scar's return)

Kopa, Imani, Koman, Sanura, Azola, Asante and her Hyena clan, Kion, Azaad, Makucha and his Leopard Leap, Chuluun, Shere Khan, Bagheera, Baloo, Varya and her Cubs, Sabor, Tarzan, Kala, Kerchak, Terk, Shenzi and Banzai and Ed and their Hyena clan, Afua, Malka and his mate and Pride, and Mheetu and his mate and Pride are all hanging out at the Lake of Reflection when they all suddenly hear a voice from the sky calling to Kopa.

MUFASA: Kopa.

Kopa and his friends look up towards the sky to see Mufasa as a Great Lion of the Past appear to them in the clouds.

KOPA: Grandfather Mufasa.

MUFASA: Something's troubling you.

KOPA: Yes, Grandfather. I'm confused. Is it true that Rani is only after Kion’s Roar?

MUFASA: Yes, it is. And that's why l'm here, Kopa. I have some very difficult news I need to share with you and Kion and his friends and your friends.

КОРА: What is it, Grandfather?

MUFASA: Rani defected from the Night Pride and has joined the Outlanders.

SHERE KHAN: What?

KION: Hevi Kabisa!

MAKUCHA: I hate Roar diggers.

CHULUUN: As do I.

FAHARI: (a member of Makucha’s Leopard Leap) (speaking for himself and the rest of Makucha’s Leopard Leap) We all do.

JIONA: You said it.

TANI: Well, it’s goodbye to Rani and her birthright as well as her leadership over the Night Pride.

ASIM: And too bad that Rani will not be able to live to know that I have the Roar of the Elders like Kion does.

AFUA: Why would Rani do that?

MUFASA: Because Kion's only worry has come to fruition. Scar has returned.

Everyone present is very shocked at the news, especially Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and their Hyena clan.

SANURA: (to Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and their Hyena clan) But you guys devoured him alive in the fire at Pride Rock a long time ago.

SABOR: It's what l'm thinking too.

MAKUCHA: Me too.

MUFASA: Yes. But he has returned, not in the fur, but as an Evil Lion of the Past.

KOPA: (putting the puzzle pieces together) While the Great Lions of the Past appear in the clouds, the Evil Lions of the Past appear in fire which has given me the assumption of that the source for Scar to appear in fire is in the top of the volcano in the Outlands.

MUFASA: Correct, Kopa. But not only that, Scar is gathering an army of Outlanders to fight the Pride Lands. And even your old enemy Zira has joined the Outlanders as well.

Everyone present is very shocked at the revelation.

KOPA: So, why are you telling me this?

MUFASA: Because the time has come for you to go home to the Pride Lands. And don't worry, Kopa. You will have your friends beside you and to back you up, and I will always be with you.

VARYA: But about Scar. How do we defeat him?

KERK: Yeah. Because now that he's back as an Evil Lion of the Past, a different approach will need to be taken in order to defeat him once and for all.

MAKUCHA: That is why it cannot be done with just our bare claws.

MUFASA: The appearance of an Evil Lion from the Past is beyond my experience, Varya and Kerk. But you know thanks to Kopa and Kion that Simba has saved the Pride Lands from Scar before. Trust that the wisdom to defeat Scar lies within the Pride Lands and within all of you.

With that, Mufasa disappears into the clouds as Kopa and his friends are left speechless by everything that they just heard and saw.

IMANI: Your grandfather is right, Kopa. All of us will be right with you and by your side when we go up against the Outlanders and bring aid to your family.

KOPA: Well, no matter how good we think we are, it's gonna be a two finale fight to beat Zira and the Outlanders, not to mention along with Scar himself.

BAGHEERA: I like your judgement, Kopa. I know you'll lead us well.

KION: You said it.

TARZAN: Should we get the rest of the Night
Pride?

KOPA: I do not wish to concern them. The Tree of Life relies on their overwatch. Tarzan, Azaad, I'm putting you and Ullu in charge of watching for the sunrise. The rest of us will get the rest of our groups together while Azola and Imani and I will construct our plan of action before we all go to sleep.

ASANTE: Honor to the end.

And so it begins.

(Side note: In this, Rani and Baliyo have a sister named Tani who is given Rani’s birthright to the throne of the Tree of Life and her betrothal to Rani’s childhood friend Asim after Rani becomes insane and jealous and greedy over Kion and his Roar and leaves the Night Pride to join the Outlanders and kidnap Kion so she can take him to the Tree of Life and keep him there for his Roar, although Rani does not realize that Kion had created a duplicate of himself for in case of an emergency.)

(Side note 2: Kopa is part of the select few who knows of Asim’s possession of the Roar of the Elders after Kion, but Asim has not told Rani of his possession of the Roar of the Elders, because he has had already ever had to use it and predators have hardly ever come to the Tree of Life while also having decided not to tell Rani about possession of the Roar of the Elders after seeing how Rani has become insane and jealous and greedy.)
