Sketched in Artrage and finished in Photoshop.Inspiration was derived from the novels of Joe Abercrombie. This character is called Monza, a scarred pot smoking mercenary leader, out for revenge. From the book "Best Served Cold". Now in EXOTIQUE book 7!!Related content

This is absolutely amazing. I'm reading them now (the US cover is shit), and she's one of my favorite characters of all time. You did a fantastic job of rendering the character, and adding her pipe in is a lovely touch.

the husk- her addiction.
the ring- the last thing her brother gave her and her reason for revenge
the hood- what she hides herself behind
the pinky and the glove- wounds that will never heal
the gold and flags- what made her who she was.
THis is truely amazing. i love the art you do for The Abercrombie books. You bring the characters to life on a whole new dimension.

Brilliant. I love how you kept the pinky finger straight! I am almost halfway through this book. I love it! So far though, my favorite character of Abercrombie's has to be The Bloody Nine.

I use a wacom board and pen and just draw away with the pencil. Its great fun to muck about with the paint, brushes and palette knife etc to see what occurs. Thats where my vampire lady started [link]

Not sure what the shit was in the US but this is how I saw her, pipe, gold, campaign maps, sticky out finger, scars, ruby ring and plenty of weapons.

I can not praise you enough on this. First of all its beautiful. Second of all it really captures the character. I love how the pinky is sticking straight out. You do amazing work. I truly loved the book (I love all of his books) and this is the best piece of art that I have seen regarding his characters.
You should really send this to him. I think that he would really appreciate it.

WOW, those are drop dead beautiful. Honestly, wow...im speechless (for once). I really do hope you do some more though I wouldnt be surprised if you have some art job in like some top marketing firm and dont have time to do fun stuff.
It's always good to hear from other Abercrombie fans. I'm psyched for The Heroes. I wonder which secondary stars it will feature. When it DOES come out, I hope you do some art from it also. Here's to you mate. Hats off!
