Mělník is a town at the confluence of the Labe and Vltava rivers in central Bohemia. It is one of the oldest towns in the Czech Republic, built on the site of an ancient settlement of the Slavic tribe of Pšovans. Saint Ludmila , the first Christian Duchess of Bohemia, probably came from there. Later it was a dowry town of the queens of Bohemia and it became famous for its vineyards. The most important sights in the town today are the Mělník Castle and Sts. Peter and Paul Church, both located on a hill just above the confluence.watercolour pencils and oil pastels
This picture was drawn as a wedding gift for two of my good friends. Their wedding took place a few days ago in Mělník (which was also the home-town of the bride), so I wanted them to have a reminder of their great day in this form.

I have very little (almost no) experience in digital art, so I cannot judge it. Although work with computer, I do graphic design and websites, I've never brought myself to do any serious digital painting. I just love the tangibility of real paper and pencils and sticks and brushes. So... it's quite natural for me. But thank you again for your comment.
