i'm contasntly reworking photos just playing about with the shade and light and texture. many an hour has disapeard on a picture of a tree lol

I entirely agree with you. The high level of artificiality was intentional. I wanted the pic to look dramatically different from the original. I wanted to see if my skill level at photoshop had increased since I posted 'Up Close.' It may have, it may haven't, but at least it looks different.
