i'll be right where i belongETA: OKOKOK. SHUT UP. MAYBE MATSI'S FACIAL MARKINGS ARE MISSING BECAUSE I FELT THAT COOL, OK? I'm such an idiot. JUST PRETEND THEY'RE THERE.
WHOA. CHEESY HERCULES RIP-OFF? SURE!
Anyway. Obviously I was inspired by "Go The Distance", but that's okay, because um... this is the first picture I've actually COLORED+FINISHED in like,... MONTHS.
Applause for Matsi.
Anyway,... I really... had other ideas for this. But this is how it turned out so... oh well. I hate the grass. I was SO uncreative. But I was sick of spending time on it and I just wanted to finish it so it's gross and sloppy and gross. Thank you. D:
This is for all of you out there who know there's something bigger that's simply waiting for you. All you have to do is keep trying, and "go the distance". That's sort of how I feel right now so... APPROPRIATE? Yes.

Late comment, but I wanted to say that I really like what you did with this piece. I love seeing work on atmosphere. The colors are so pretty and I rather like the landscape. You did a really nice job working with the color scheme of the piece. Really creates a nice mood for the piece. You should draw more, you. Your stuff is getting better and better.

my biggest pet peeve is when people do artwork like this where the lighting is dusky and stuff, but their character looks like it's standing in sunlight. i LOVE the "screencap" look, for lack of a better term.. and the clouds AND the grass, the way it's so dark, it makes Matsi and the colors stand out. \
i could go on forever, but i've gotta admit, i'm envious.
