I can say this is the first Yubaba cosplay I've ever actually seen, and it's a character that never crossed my mind to be cosplayed at all, let alone actually figure out how to do it properly. Obviously, the main issue is proportions--which you're manage to overcome quite well, given what you have to work with: that is, without moving into full on masks, there is no way to get the head to the appropriate size. I'm glad you DIDN'T go with a mask as that would have been silly.
The wig. Is. Perfect. IT is what helps compensate for the loss of size in the head and hands.
The nose and makeup are incredible and blended seamlessly, especially if one isn't actually looking for any kinds of flaws. The wrinkles aren't terribly exaggerated which MIGHT be a bit of a detractor so Yubaba's face was very wrinkled. This cosplay, however, could always be chalked up to a younger Yubaba.
What is best about this cosplay is that it inspired me to watch the movie again, something I had largely loved but haven't seen in at least two years. That is what cosplay should do, to be honest; remind us why we love something so much. You have done just that, and the photography is a nice little added touch to make the overall image an excellent piece to not only enjoy but share. I'll be passing this around to all my Miyazaki fan-friends, rest assured!

I'm 57 years old and the wrinkles are already there (not much I can cosplay at this age), but I've made the dress and have the rings and the broach; and the wart and the nose, but struggling with the hair.ย Not good with wigs.ย Did you make yours?ย Would you be interested in making one for me or giving me guidance?ย Really wanted to add Yubaba to my small collection for this years con.

You can made the wig youreself
you will need 15-20 tubes hard glue, 3 wigs about 150cm, 3 ballons of construction foam and 5 bomb of polish
