I like that you made Spock's face a little longer. That facial feature of his often gets lost in chibi type of drawings.

I was gonna like this but you made Uhura look like a hooker she was mush better than that. cant women (but more often black women) be beautiful without sticking them in thigh high boots, mini skirts and a top that dosen't keep anything in. come on now....

In all fairness that is what she wore in that episode and she looked fabulous in that outfit. Sad that some of the 60s fashion (short skirt, high boots) are now being seen as a hooker outfit.

i see what your saying, and i'm not saying she doesn't look good in it. it's just that when ever i type something in on this site or any site for that matter, concerning a black woman, she's alwasy dressed like a hooker or nasty or however you want to call it. frankly i'm just tired of it.

There's lots of drawings of sluttish looking white females too here and as a woman I would feel insulted hadn't it been for the fact there's lots of drawings of males in objectified poses here as well.
Granted Uhura gets a lot of the extreme sex-kitten treatment but many of the Star Trek females do, take 7 of 9 and T'Pol, two white women with impossible breast-sizes wearing tight catsuits (I do like T'Pol's season 3 & 4 catsuits though).
What about making a gallery of all the art-work of dignified black women?

i agree with you, i must have been having one of those days where i ran into nothing but that. so when i seen Uhura that was the last straw. it is very much a shame that women, not just a certain race, but all, get degrade in such a way. and even if there are other pics with men in objectified posses, there are very few of them and they arn't as easy to acess as the women. With this site and any other site, or just looking threw images on yahoo or google, if you were to type in the word bunny or purple, your more than likely going to get some woman half or all naked sprawled out on the floor or something. Unfortuantely i'm coming to grips with the fact that problems like these arn't going to change.
I think that would be a marvelous idea.

Hi,
well I have to agree that searching Uhura there's a lot of sleazy images, I have also found some extreme images of T'Pol with 7 of 9. There are some images that are objectifying her that I still thinks is drawn very well. There's one lesbian scenario drawing between Uhura and Princess Leia which I liked because I like both the characters and the drawing style. To sort of defend this kind of fan slash thing with the women it seems to me that the most widespread sleazy slash images are between Spock and Kirk. I mean that pairing has existed since the seventies and are still huge WTF moments.
Going back to the female objectification the really sad thing is that many young women really wants to be in that sex-objectifying position. I really struggle to understand that. I've never googled "bunny" or "Purple" but if it's some woman spreading it's sure irritating. It is bizarre that in 2011 there are still women who feels the need to do that to get the attention they crave.
Having said that I wish we had more freedom to dress as we want. Take Nichelle Nichols as Uhura, even though she had to wear that skimpy outfit I think she had a lot of elegance and guts. She was the only one together with the captain and doctor who could tell Spock off, and he would accept her uttering.
Yes, when you writing that you have to coming to grips with the facts that there will never be a change I can't help being a bit pissed off at all those aspiring Playboy bunnies and glamour models. I mean I'm vain as Hell but there's even a limit to vanity.... or at least I thought so.

yeah, it's sad that the media is brainwashing young women to think that these vulgar and perverted posses, clothes, and action are what makes someone attractive or makes it seem like the only way for them to get attention. but unfortuantly that is how it is.
