The colors and tones on this are such that it almost looks traditional rather than digital. That always impresses the bejeezus out of me. If Elvegren leaned toward the macabre, he'd have done something like this. So... damn.... good.

First, I love (LOVE) Halloween. However, over the years, the spark just died out of the art for the holiday. It was just cliche after cliche. Dark, spooky, blah. To me, the true spirit of Halloween is that Dark, and Spooky, however, with the all important comedic aspect. I've always looked as Halloween as someone, some being, as saying "Don't take life too seriously! Or you'll never get out alive!" You have captured that here, perfectly! The glowing pumpkins look warm and alive. The girl, looks beautiful and "cute" as opposed to "Oh look I'm so dark and spooky with blood!" Job VERY WELL done! You just made a new fan
