Finally colored! And a double post! This one was a nice surprise because Zenescope sent me two versions of this colored version. One with a black nightgown and one with a red night gown for approvals.Only one will be used, but I'm pushing for the black one. The red one is really eye catching but the black just looks sexier to me.

I'm not sure which one they'll use, I'd be fine with either. But I secretly hope it's this one. Sssshhh. Also i ran by the idea of making her panties red. this way you get the best of both worlds!

Yeah, I think the red is almost too distracting. I prefer the black as well. This looks awesome with colors on it. It's always cool to see the direction a piece takes once colors are applied.

Yeah, right? colors can completely transform a picture from one feel to another. Colors can really make or break a cover.

Fo sho. Kinda goes back to the brief convo we had once about preferring pencils to colors. Colors can definitely take an image to the next step--it's just not always a step in the right direction. Pencils are great because all of the emotion has to be shown without color. If the art doesn't evoke a certain feel to it in black and white and you have to rely on color to convey that feeling, then maybe it wasn't such a good piece to begin with.

Wise words, my friend. You're absolutly right. I try to never rely on the colorist to fix my flaws, cause they may not see it or you may get a bad colorist who's busy f-ing up the rest of the picture.
